Price lists in shops will be made out on electronic paper

The British company ZBD Solutions started to use electronic paper as price lists and information plates for supermarkets and other retail shops. Updating of information displayed on low-power displays, is carried out on a wireless network. Displays of new type can display the picture even at the switched-off food.

Development of technology belongs to the research center of liquid crystals at the DERA organization. The new technology means drawing of submicronic particles on an internal part of the LCD display that allowed to lower costs of production of displays with use of electronic paper.

ZBD Solutions also developed own technology of wireless data transmission which gives the chance to retailers to update centrally information on hundreds displays from electronic paper.
